Back in 1981 my husband and I moved to Batavia and Gerti was our neighbor on Highland Park. We were young and new to the community. Gerti and Annie Spadacino took me out to lunch for my 23rd birthday to Sunny's. It was such a sweet gesture. Our condolences to the family. Marlin and Donna Salmon

As a long time friend of Donald and Tina, it was a joy to meet his mother. She was good at teasing Don, and it was humorous to watch their interaction. I remember her sitting in Don and Tina's kitchen, helping prepare food at Jonathan's graduation and telling stories. May peace and love continue for her family.

Dear Woodring family,
Your Mom always made me feel special and welcome any time I was at your house growing up. She sure loved to feed me and everyone who stopped in.
Her smile and hugs will always be one of me childhood memories.
Gertie will be in my prayers.

My thoughts and prayers to the Woodring Family. Gertie was a very Special Lady with a smile on her face. I always enjoyed seeing her when Suzanne would bring her to picnics and parties.

Aunt Gert = a special lady, It seems when you grow up in a large family you would always need help with the Whoz -Who - Aunt Gert was always the expert as different people came to the family picture. As I remember always very nice - always something to share - always something great to eat - never a cross word. If you met here you were lucky as she is certainly gone on ahead to find a place in heaven for you alongside her....
